TWIA and COVID-19

Updated 10.01.22

CURRENT TWIA EVENT STATUS: OUR EVENTS ARE ABLE TO GO AHEAD WITHOUT RESTRICTION

All TWIA events have fewer than 500 attendees so are not affected by the current Government Covid Pass or testing rules. All TWIA Regional events will have fewer than 200 guests.

Guests are not required by Government to show proof of vaccination or negative test to attend TWIA events. We fully understand and respect each individual's view on Covid safety.

Should the Government rules and guidelines change we shall update this page.

We were not able to host our live events last year, so resorted to virtual events instead. Whilst our virtual events were great, we cannot wait to get back to our live events and celebrate with all the Regional Finalists and their guests at our 8 Regional Awards Events in January and then with all the National Finalists at our National Awards Event in February.

These are the current rules: "From Wednesday 15 December the NHS Covid Pass on the NHS App will become mandatory for entry into nightclubs and settings where large crowds gather – including unseated indoor events with 500 or more attendees, unseated outdoor events with 4,000 or more attendees and any event with 10,000 or more attendees."

RESILIENCE, RESOURCEFULNESS AND CREATIVITY

The wedding industry is an incredibly supportive environment and now, more than ever, we need to help and support each other however possible, whilst maintaining our own health and wellbeing and that of everyone around us.

Small business owners are a resilient, resourceful and creative bunch; we have to be. Many of you navigated your business through the financial crisis more than a decade ago, many of you established your businesses in the aftermath of that crisis. We now need to show that same resilience, resourcefulness and creativity in the face of this new adversity.

The bottom line is: we are here for you, and we will do everything we can to help and support wherever and whenever we can.

Best wishes to you, your family and your business.
