The Wedding Industry Awards and Social Media
|If you clicked a link from Facebook or Twitter and ended up on this page, then congratulations, you’ve passed the first test!
We wanted to let you know that The Wedding Industry Awards are available on all good forms of social media and we really want you to get involved! For those of you that have already entered the 2013 Wedding Industry Awards, you’ll have seen that we ask for your Facebook business page and Twitter handle as part of the entry process, so that we can become friends and shout about you.
Through the course of the next few months, we will be systematically making our way through the 2013 entries to make sure that we follow every single entrant on Twitter and like you all on Facebook as well. Why? Because we want to know what’s going on in your world, with your business! Not only that, we want to promote you guys whenever anything fantastic happens for you and share your brilliant companies in as many ways as possible.
We mean it. Feel free to send us a tweet with your latest photo shoot, or drop a comment on our Facebook page to tell us about your next big commission. Only yesterday we opened a thread for suppliers to let us (and the myriad of brides planning their weddings who stop by our FB page) know what wedding fayres they had coming up. We can’t promise to attend every single one ourselves, but we can make sure that engaged couples out there know when and where they can come and see your lovely faces.
We are also compiling Twitter lists of regional and national winners, commendeds and shortlisted companies from the 2012 awards, which will allow for active and relevant searches through TWIA Twitter account to find out information about all of you. Obviously the nature of Twitter is that it is a constantly evolving beast and we can’t hope to keep up to date with every single one of you all the time, so if you think we’ve missed out on hearing about something wonderful that you’re up to then make sure you tweet us and we’ll retweet it to our growing army of followers. Likewise, if we’re not following you yet, give us a shout and we’ll rectify that oversight posthaste.
TWIA is a vehicle through which you get to let the world know what’s ace about you, so don’t be shy. Come and say hello and let us know what you’ve been up to! You never know who might be reading…
You can follow @TWIA_Official on Twitter or like theweddingindustryawards on Facebook.
Social Media provides around 80% of our positive Coco Photo Booths bookings mainly through our Facebook page:

We have posted around 20,000 photos on our Coco Photo Booths page since we began trading in September 2011, and through likes and photo tagging we could not have imagined the benifits of Social Media for our business.
