New REGIONS in TWIA 2018

‘London & South East’ split into two new regions.

In the past TWIA has recognised and rewarded excellent wedding suppliers in seven regions of the country. The largest of these was ‘London & South East’.

In TWIA 2018 the ‘London & South East’ region will be split into two new regions as follows:

SOUTH CENTRAL – Buckinghamshire, Berkshire, Oxfordshire, Hampshire (inc Isle of Wight and the Channel Islands)

SOUTH EAST – Greater London, Surrey, West Sussex, East Sussex, Kent

This means that the East of England region now includes Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire, Essex, Hertfordshire, Norfolk and Suffolk (which is inline with the standardised Government delineation)

Having examined the TWIA entry statistics over the last 3 years, this is the most logical and appropriate way of splitting the region into two equal regions with exactly the same standing as the other regions in the awards. (It is worth noting that whilst Greater London is by far the largest ‘County’ we do not see a proportionally high level of TWIA entries from this area.)

Furthermore, having two new and equal regions means that there will be a full and complete Regional Awards Event in each of the new regions as opposed to the split events we have run in the London & South East region in the past couple of years. A much better situation for all concerned!

The region in which you enter is still automatically determined by your trading address which you input when entering the awards.

So, there are now eight TWIA regions which means there will be eight regional winners in each category and eight individual awards events.
