National Sample Judging Day

Judging is a serious business. That is never more apparent than on our annual pilgrimage to gather together certain expert TWIA judges in order to get them to familiarise themselves with the products of a select group of national finalists. There are a lot of serious expressions and stern wielding of clipboards amongst the panel as they join us for our national sample judging day.

All the regional winners in the best accessory, florist, stationery and cake designer categories had been asked to send samples in to TWIA for the relevant judges to touch, feel, try on and taste as part of the national judging process. As we work towards defining who the winners of the national finals will be in January, this is an integral part of the process in which the judges can marry up the brand image, voter comments and physical produce of each supplier.

This year, we congregated at Fetcham Park in Surrey and even managed to enjoy a delicious lunch from Kalm Kitchen in-between the hard work of judging.
