Why Clients Like Voting For You

16132604037_f42a7d13d6_oYou may be feeling a little bit shy about asking your clients to vote for you in The Wedding Industry Awards 2016, but we’re here to tell you to stop being so modest. As a nation, we can be a bit backwards in coming forwards when it comes to bigging ourselves up, but never has there been a better time to ask for recognition for your work.

In the first instance, your clients are going to be delighted to hear that someone who worked on the most important day of their lives is talented and important enough to enter and be considered for an award. It validates their decision to have originally hired them. It reinforces the fact that they have great taste for picking you.

More than that, though, is the fact that your clients are about to be given an entirely indulgent opportunity to boast about how great you were and how great their wedding was. By asking your customers what they think of your services, we’re giving them the chance to relive the magical memories of their big day and to think back to all the little things that made them happy. You were one of those things.

Amidst the nostalgic reminiscences, your clients are going to be excited to explain all the ways in which you enhanced their experience of getting married. They’re going to be pleased as punch to tell us why you are better than your competitors. They’re going to feel proud to support you and pleased to get the opportunity to explain why you were fundamental to their wedding.

Perhaps the main reason why your clients will enjoy voting for you in TWIA 2016 is that they will appreciate the chance to say thank you. We’ve heard from many couples who have told us that the process of voting reconnected them with suppliers they enjoyed working with but have since not had chance to stay in contact with. This is their way of giving you the pat on the back or the giant hug that they want to. By voting for you in TWIA, your clients are recognising and appreciating your work in a way that they know can help support and build your business in the future.

So if you’re in the middle of writing that email to ask for votes, or toying with whether to post on social media about your participation, just go for it. Believe us when we tell you that your happy customers are going to be over the moon to tell the world how awesome you are.

That’s why 30,000 couples voted in last year’s awards.

Couples who got married since 1st November 2014 can nominate their suppliers and vote for them in The Wedding Industry Awards 2016 now.
