Wedding Accessory Designer

Every bride knows how important her accessories can be as a mark of her personality and style. If you or your business designs and makes bridal accessories of any kind then this is the category for you. Tiaras, headdresses, necklaces, bracelets, hair clips, shoes, bags, shawls, wedding rings, jewellery, hats, fascinators, artificial/crystal bouquets and garters all fit into this category.

Wedding Band (trio or more)

Whether playing during the day, in the evening, or both, a wedding band can make or break the atmosphere at a wedding. Subtle background music during the drinks reception or party music to get everybody on the dancefloor, such is a band's importance at a wedding that this year we have created a separate category for you. If your band consists of three or more musicians and you play during any stage of a wedding then this is the category for you. If you are a solo act, play in a duo or play in a string quartet then there is separate category for you, too.

Their mission is to provide the very best entertainment to weddings and to show that entertainment can be a brilliant way of putting your own personal mark on a wedding.

Kipper Eldridge
Grammy and Emmy award-winning music producer and song writer

Kipper is a Grammy and Emmy winning producer and musician, best known for producing and performing on Sting’s biggest selling solo album Brand New Day as well as the platinum albums All This Time and Sacred Love. Kipper's band , One Nation, was signed to IRS/MCA records in 1986. Kipper disbanded One Nation to focus his energies on his production and writing skills in 1992. He wrote and produced for such successful artists as Gary Numan, Catherine Zeta Jones and Curtis Stigers and went on to play, produce and write scores for a number of Hollywood feature films. A chance meeting with Sting, while he was working on the Sharon Stone movie The Mighty, led to Kipper being invited to Tuscany to collaborate on what was to become Brand New Day. Kipper then toured as Sting’s musical director, playing keyboards in the band for four years, and produced and performed on all of Sting’s musical output between 1998 and 2005. The albums he has produced have sold more than 15 million copies, and Kipper has gone on to work with Stevie Wonder, James Morrison, Mary J Blige, James Taylor, Richard Marx, Clay Aiken and Chris Botti.

Joe is a singer, pianist, composer and entertainer touring constantly with his band and as a solo act, having appeared at Ronnie Scott's, the Royal Festival Hall, and the Cheltenham Jazz Festival,to name but a few and in jazz clubs from New York to Berlin to Kuala Lumpur. Last summer he released his second album, 'We Look To The Stars', which immediately went straight to the top of the jazz charts while pulling in rave reviews from the national press. Shopping for the most important outfit a bride is ever likely to wear, bridal retailers know the ins and outs of bridalwear like the back of their hand and put customer service at the forefront of everything they do. A retailer through and through and often compared to Mary Portas there is nothing more inspiring for Ellie than a well run business with solid processes in place. Ellie`s boutiques are moment of luxury for the discerning bride, stocking some of the world’s top wedding dress designers, mixed in a decadent, informal space with first class customer service . Twice a TWIA national winner of the Best Wedding Cake Designer category. Rosalind Miller Cakes Ltd is now the supplier of ‘Exclusive to Harrods’ cupcakes and wedding cakes, featuring a collection of signature cupcakes, tiered, and single tier cake designs. In 2013 Rosalind published her first book, ‘Wedding Cakes’.

In 2008 Damian received the personal accolade of ISES Caterer of the Year. He also featured in Tatler’s ‘Must Have List’ and Event Magazine’s ‘Top Ten in 2007’. Damian has judged a number of industry awards such as Young Guns and also mentors hospitality students at Oxford Brookes University.

Throughout her time working in hotels she gained vital experience in restaurant and bar management before moving to event and sales management. Both an acclaimed DJ and Producer, Mark van den Berg (aka Mark Luvdup) started DJing aged 15 in his hometown, Cape Town, South Africa, before arriving in England in the late eighties. Mark was quickly drawn to the Manchester music scene where, fuelled by a love of house, disco and Balearic beats, he began his own club night ‘Luvdup’, which drew clubbers in their thousands and launched him on the first wave of superstar DJs resulting in him being voted number 25 in the world’s best DJs poll by readers of DJ Magazine.

Mark went on to produce his own records, working with artists such as Womack and Womack, M.People and The Charlatans, earning Pete Tong’s Essential New Tune listing for his debut release and a couple of gold discs for his Fantazia mix compilations.

By the mid noughties, Mark was itching to return to his DJ roots and set about forming Mighty Fine, which has gone from strength to strength.

Bringing a unique ability to read a crowd, as well as top-notch technical skills to the party, Mark is unrivalled in being able to start and keep a dance floor moving all night whilst adhering to the chosen playlist of his clients.

In 2011, Damian & his wife Anna created their company, 23 Events Ltd, to organise and run The Wedding Industry Awards. For the last 12 years, Damian has been photographing weddings all over the country, every weekend. No wedding supplier sees more of a wedding than the photographer. He or she sees pretty much all other types of wedding supplier and their work from florists and make-up artists right through to caterers, DJs and bands. From the bride getting ready right through until well into the dancing, the photographer is there. In his wide and varied experience of shooting over 400 weddings, Damian has worked with many wedding entertainers all over the country. This has enabled him to watch and understand how an entertainer can influence the atmosphere at a wedding and to hear first hand the direct feedback from both venue and catering staff and wedding guests alike.

Anita has been in charge of running weddings at The Tythe Barn for 16 years and has been there since it became a wedding venue. Anita has always worked in catering and events, first in the army running the officers' mess and then in motor racing; F1, Touring Cars and WRC. She joined The Tythe Barn intially with their in-house catering team but quickly moved over to the operations and event management team where she has been ever since. Anita and her team run more than 80 weddings a year and do so with consumate ease, professionalism and sensitivity towards every couple and their guests. Anita has huge experience and knowledge of event management and her acute awareness of what is needed and when it is needed helps her subtly keep any event running smoothly.

Shane is one of the UK's best known florists. He trained under the great British floral designer, Michael Goulding OBE, at the famous London Academy of Pulbrook & Gould, and started his own business in 1989. Shane’s international work has taken him as far as USA, South Africa and India, while back in the UK, he has decorated some the country’s most prestigious venues for an eclectic range of private and corporate clients and, of course, many high-end weddings. In 2005, he was honoured and delighted to be asked by HRH the Duchess of Cornwall to design her bouquet and all other flowers for her marriage to HRH Prince of Wales and the service of dedication in Windsor. The City of London requested that Shane arrange the flowers for a luncheon celebrating HM the Queen’s 80th birthday, and in 2007 he designed the flowers for the service of remembrance for Diana, Princess of Wales. In recognition of such events, Shane was awarded a Royal Warrant of Appointment to HRH the Prince of Wales, and went on to be appointed Artistic Director for the wedding of TRH’s the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge in 2011.

Kirsten is an Award winning venue stylist with a love of all things vintage and unique - encouraging couples to step outside the box when it comes to decorating their big day. Since its launch business in 2008, The Little Wedding Helper has grown from venue styling to dressing boutique window displays, Art Directing photo-shoots, and helping other small businesses style their stands for wedding fayres. Kirsten is a regular contributor to a number of regional and national bridal magazines, as well as recently launching her own blog. Kirsten also organises The Little Wedding Tweet Ups, informal networking evenings for anybody in the wedding industry. When she's not consulting with a couple, adding the finishing touches to a table setting, or hanging yards of bunting, Kirsten can be found treasure hunting in charity shops and car-boots, all the while trying to curb her addiction to Pinterest.

From the bride getting ready right through until well into the dancing, the photographer is there.
